The sixth edition of ITU’s Asia-Pacific Telecommunication Indicators was prepared especially for ITU TELECOM ASIA 2004 (Busan, Republic of Korea, 7-11 September 2004). The publication consists of three partsan analytical overview, regional statistics and a directory of telecommunication organizations.

The region’s telecom industry flexes its muscles
According to America’s Network, eight operators in the Asia-Pacific region were among the top global carriers in 2003, based on subscribers. Of these eight carriers, four were from China, two from Japan, one from Singapore and one from the Republic of Korea.
