Innovations in Next-Generation Network: Future Networks and Services
Proceedings of the first ITU-T Kaleidoscope Academic Conference. Geneva, 12 - 13 May 2008

These Proceedings contain all the papers accepted for the "ITU-T Innovations in Next-Generation Networks" Kaleidoscope academic conference, Geneva, 12-13 May 2008 - the first in a series organized by ITU T. Technically co-sponsored by the IEEE Communications Society, the papers accepted for the conference were reviewed by a panel of over 130 subject matter experts to ensure high technical quality. The papers, coming from leading academic and research institutions all around the globe, focus 5 to 15 years in the future, and address: the evolution of the NGN architecture; applications and services over the NGN; and social, economic and policy issues in the ubiquitous network society. Three invited papers also provide a broad perspective on the theme. Release date: 12 May 2008.
