Introduction to the 5th edition
Since the first edition of the manual was published in 2003, the ITU-T has embarked on many new areas of work and great many new Recommendations have been completed and published. In addition, the Study Groups themselves were restructured following the World Telecommunication Standardization Assembly (WTSA) 2008.
