The publication of statistical indicators relating to the development of telecommunications worldwide is one of the primary functions of ITU. The 1994-2003 edition of the ITU Yearbook of Statistics (previously referred to as the "Yearbook of Public Telecommunication Statistics" or the "ITU Statistical Yearbook") will be the 31st edition.
