Conclusions
Asia-Pacific is a region with enormous energy and resourcefulness that has made some remarkable achievements in the ICT sector. It has weathered the telecom storm of the past several years fairly well and some of its main operators have expanded regional and global market shares by entering into new market sectors, including the production of ICT hardware. The region enjoys growth levels in mobile and Internet penetration, which suggest that it could catch up with Europe and North America in the near future.
